Best in the West Tour

The Thunderbirds are excited to announce that plans for the Best in the West tour for 2015 have been finalised. We are delighted to confirm that Laurier Primeau will be leading the tour again this year after several years of absence due to other coaching commitments. He has put together an excellent team of nationally ranked coaches to travel to Phoenix in March of 2015. Full details can be found HERE

Thunderbirds show good form before provincial championships

TBirds showed great form in the last two meets prior to the provincial championships.

At the Frank Reynolds Cross-Country Meet held at Cates park in North Vancouver Maya Baechler, Sophie Forsythe and Chloe Cady all won their events, with Freya Savage and Dylan Uhrich earning runner up spots.  Amelia Kristen earned a third place finish and Paige Ingram continued to get stronger finishing in a close fourth place, as did Theo Bentley. Other TBirds that placed well were: Natalie Hill (7th), Francis Sadleir (7th), Jocelyn Chambers (8th), Finley Butler (9th), Paul Paetzel (9th), Pau Emily Hart (10th), Sophie Kazimirski (12th), Mason Suen (15th), Mason Delia Warrington (17th, and Noah Skarsgard (18th). In the high school divisions Katia Lumb finished second, Ben Paetzel (3rd) and Savage Lynden (6th)

At the city championships at Trout Lake Maya, Chloe and Freya all won with Dylan again coming second.

Paige Ingram finished 5th, Emily Hart 6th, Finley Butler 6th and. Maggie Mackay was 7th. Most races included over 200 runners with Tbirds also finishing in these positions:  Hunter Cochrane (8th),  Veronika Bumbolovic 9th, Caden Ferguson placed 10th, Paul Paetzel  11th , Forest  Van Alstine 13th, Delia Warrington and Jessica Lau 19th, Miles Mantle 21st, Juliette Levy-Gay 24th, Dar Jankovic 25th, Tobin Gladders 33rd, Susanna Mattman 46th, and Francis Sadleir 60th.
